PORTRAIT: the scowl.

 

This has got to be one of my best photo scowls. I hate having my photo taken - by others. It probably has a lot to do with a lack of control, how I am not in charge of how I look, how I am perceived - my problem, not that of the photographer. I always see photographs of self as some form of ongoing journal, a litmus test of where I am in the journey of life. It's not always comfortable to look back at yourself over time, but I think it's important to do so - that person in the photograph is you, no one else - just you.
